Trainer biography - Crow Dillon-Parkin
Trainer, Senior Technical Author and Editor

Crow's editing career began when she shared her new-found knowledge of the use of the apostrophe with the local greengrocer. Since then her natural pickiness and attention to detail, combined with a love of language, has been put to good use in a variety of editing, writing and training roles. She has two degrees and a Certificate in Education.

For the last decade Crow has specialised in technical authoring and editing, including preparing material for translation into a number of languages and formats. She believes in empowering authors through writing training, and developed peer-to-peer editor training for her team of thirteen authors at JBA Software Products. She has also developed training in QMS for FW Pharma Systems, working to ISO9000/1 and pharmaceutical industry standards. Other clients include the Open College, the BBC, and Fitness First.

Her passion for fitness led her to qualify as a personal trainer with YMCA Fitness Industry Training, where she went on to spend three years as a course director, as well as proofreading all their manuals.

Crow is currently working on a range of books based on the writing courses she has developed, and training hard for the forthcoming British Natural Bodybuilding Federation's season.

Crow specialises in providing technical author training, and training in Plain English and effective report writing.
