Key details

Arnold training for 3ds Max users, teaching skills for producing photo-realistic 3D rendered scenes and animations.

Teaches everything you need to know to make the most of this high-quality, brute-force ray tracing renderer built for the demands of feature-length animation and visual effects movies. Learn to simulate light accurately, and break physical laws to achieve artistic styles.

3ds Max – Rendering with Arnold training is arranged on-request, i.e. one-to-one training or a ‘closed course’ for your group. We can provide your training in-class at one of our centres, at your venue, or online.

Your training can be tailored to take into account any existing knowledge you have, and the work you’re going to be doing.

In-class or online

In-class courses are proceeding as normal at all centres during the lockdown that started on 5 November 2020. To read more, see Training during lockdown.

We’re taking comprehensive measures to ensure your health and well-being – fewer people in-class, you won’t sit next to another person, comprehensive cleaning. To read more, see Covid-19 measures.

You can participate in this course online, from your place of work or home, at a discounted price. To read about how this works, see Live online training.

Accredited Arnold training

Armada is an Autodesk Authorised Training Centre (ATC), accredited to provide training in the Arnold renderer.

Arnold training is hosted by Autodesk Certified Instructors, with vast professional experience of a range of different renderers. See Expert trainers.

How will I learn?

Arnold training is hands-on and practical.

Our trainers teach the necessary theory then demonstrate techniques step-by-step. You then practice the techniques taught on a computer running Arnold.

There is plenty of time to ask questions, and you can take away all the files you create.

Training guide and certificate

Course delegates receive:

  • A comprehensive training guide for Arnold, to refer to throughout the course, and to use as a refresher afterwards.
  • An e-certificate confirming successful completion of an accredited Arnold training course. This is emailed to delegates directly from Autodesk. Click here to see an example of the certificate you receive.

After course support

Following Arnold training, delegates are entitled to 30 days’ email support from their Arnold trainer to help with any post-course issues. For further details, see Support.

Prerequisites

Delegates should have a good working knowledge of 3ds Max, i.e. be familiar with the techniques taught in our 3ds Max Essentials course. No prior Arnold knowledge is required.

Arnold version

Training can be based on any recent version of Arnold to suit you.
